Trinidad
The cobbled streets of Trinidad will make an interesting day in Cuba.
Trinidad prides itself of being one of the safest cities in Cuba, and despite its fame, many tourists and the tall, barred windows, it is indeed relaxed, hospitable and friendly.
I visited Trinidad during the Festival of Books; so there were a lot of young people roaming the streets. They were all busy celebrating, and provided extra colours to this city of colours.
Trinidad is probably the most photogenic place in Cuba. It’s just amazing how the houses, streets and all the pastel colours stand out on photos when compared to what the naked eye see.
The tour or the town will inevitably bring you to the Plaza Major where you’ll find the Cathedral Iglesia Parroquial de la Santisima Trinidad, a lot of museums and the Galaria de Arte Universal.
At the gallery you’ll be guided around to see pieces of contemporary Cuban art - I saw some wonderful Cobra-paintings there.
